I am a business owner and would like to sell Bows Etc. hair accessories in my store. Can you help me?

Retail stores with tax ID and approval can purchase items directly from our wholesale website.  Wholesale orders require a $200 minimum order.  Most wholesale orders ship within 10 business days although some may take a bit longer.  Please call us at (301) 442-6707 if you have questions.

What type of fastener should I use for my child’s hair?

We have used the same supplier for over 18 years and have had complete customer satisfaction with these clips that stay perfectly in place.  Bows Etc. offers three types of clips for our products.

The Snap Clip is the smallest fastener that we offer. Snap clips are designed specifically for infants and babies with a small amount of hair. The clip has a slight curve which enables it to  easily “snap” into your little one’s hair.

The Alligator Clip is our most popular clip and perfect for all ages and hair types.  It measures 1 ¾” and is fully lined with grosgrain ribbon ensuring that the accessory stays securely in place.

The French Barrette measures 2-3/4” and is perfect for fine, thick or curly hair for toddlers, girls, tweens, teens and women.  Wear it on the side of your hair or fastened in the back. For thinner and finer hair, we recommend placing the barrette securely over an elastic ponytail holder for maximum hold.

Which type of headband do you recommend?

Narrow headbands are about 3/8” wide and comfortable for all ages-toddlers to adults. They are wrapped with grosgrain or satin ribbon.

Our Stitched Headbands rest comfortably flat upon your head.  They come in two sizes:  the medium headband measures approximately 7/8” wide and is perfect for all ages over 5 years old.  The wide headband measures 1 ½” wide offering a comfortable fit for teens and women.

The Wrapped Headbands come in two widths and offer a padded feature that allows for a more sophisticated look.  The medium wrapped headband measures about ½” wide and is a good choice for those over 5 years old.  The wide wrapped headband measures 1” wide and is most comfortable for teens and women.

The Interchangeable, Stretchy Headband is an option when a young girl doesn’t have much hair but wants to wear a stylish accessory. Our headbands allow the alligator clips to slide through an attached loop. This style headband allows you to change the look and style of the hair accessory easily by adding a bow, a flower, a tailored, dressy or sassy style to enhance every outfit. In addition, the clips may be worn directly in your little girl’s hair as it grows.

Can you customize a special hair accessory to match a dress my daughter will wear?

Do your bows fray at the ends?

No! Our bows are heat sealed for long lasting use and beauty.

I would like to send hair accessories as a gift. Can you do this?

Absolutely! We love sending our bows to new customers.  Please mark the appropriate box and we will be sure to include your personal message, wrap the gift with a bow and exclude any prices from the package.

What type of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express through PayPal.  You do not need a PayPal account to use your credit card.  If you are more comfortable providing us with your payment over the telephone feel free to call us at (301) 442-6707.

What is your return policy?

As each item is handmade based on your order, we cannot accept returns unless an item is misrepresented or damaged.  If you believe this to be the case, please call us at (301) 442-6707 or send us a message through our contact form for return approval within five (5) business days of delivery.  No item will be accepted that is not in its original condition.  Bows Etc. will refund the entire amount of the original purchase price, shipping charges not included. Ship all returns pre-paid and insured. We will refund your credit card within one week of receipt.
 Returns will only be made for items that can be verified to have been purchased through our web site. We will not accept returns or exchanges for items without a receipt from our shopping cart. A copy of the invoice or gift receipt that accompanied your Web order must be included with returns or exchanges. There are no exceptions to this policy.

What is your privacy policy?

We do not give out your information to anyone for any reason, nor do we keep your credit card information. We value your business and your privacy.

When will my order ship?

Generally speaking, your order ships within 7 business days although we strive for a quicker turnaround. If something is out of stock or we anticipate a delay, we will contact you immediately for your direction about how to process the order.  If you need your order sooner, please send us a message through our contact form to let us know

Do you ship internationally?

At this time, Bows Etc. only ships within the United States.

Can I ship to a different address?

Yes. Please provide us with the shipping address during the checkout process.

Which shipping method should I choose?

We currently only offer shipping via Priority Mail through The United States Postal Service (USPS). All standard shipments are charged a flat shipping rate of $8.00 unless your order is over $100.00 (before shipping is applied).  All orders over $100.00 receive FREE shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Once your order has shipped, you will be provided with a tracking number to track your package online.  Once an item has shipped, Bows Etc. is no longer responsible for the items if lost in transit.

If you wish to have your items expedited by USPS Priority Mail, UPS Ground or FedEx, please let us know prior to placing your order so that proper arrangements and payment can be made.  Free shipping for orders greater than $75.00 only qualify for USPS Priority Mail.  Please send us a message through our contact form.

How will I know if my order has shipped?

You will receive an email when your package is shipped. If you are a registered Bows Etc. customer, you can also check shipping status by logging into My Account on our website.
